It is in impressive condition for the difficulty of carving the indian kachina's body in mid-step dance movement. One hand holds a wood stick with leather bulb end - like a mallet, and the other has leather shaped into a knife blade (?). Feathers crown it's head and real white fur is wrapped around the neck and down the back. Really nice collectible 1960'S piece!

The 8 inch carved wood kachina carving is attached to a natural wood base measuring 2 1/4 inch x 2 inch and is distinctively signed on the bottom: BLUE AHOTE, S.S.

It is a quality example of native american artwork & skill.
